Hi, I’m Bev Rella. For way too long, I felt less than great but couldn’t tell you why. When abdominal cramps, nausea, exhaustion, and weakness became too much to bear, the answer from the medical establishment was a prescription. I knew the pill parade wasn’t for me, and my problems persisted until a friend introduced me to functional nutrition. With some trial and error and lab testing, I found my way through my issues.

It was an unexpected resolution to years and years of discomfort—and the start of an even more unexpected career shift. My own profound example of how food, lifestyle changes, and stress reduction can improve health not only gave me new life but a new career. Delving into functional nutrition was so fascinating, exciting, and life-changing that I wanted more of it. I knew what it could do, and I became obsessed with showing others what it could do for them. Helping my clients find more vitality, better digestion, and an overall happier mood is even more gratifying than I’d imagined.

Have you struggled to find your fantastic? There’s a great chance functional nutrition can get you there.

BAR Wellness exists to help you find your fantastic.

Does that sound like a pipe dream? Are you so tired and achy all the time that “fantastic” sounds impossible? Maybe your gut gives you grief, your skin is in constant turmoil, or your weight feels out of control. There are almost as many ways to feel subpar as there are “solutions” that fail to address the root cause of your trouble.

I’m here to help. I started BAR Wellness because I saw what functional nutrition did for me, and I love seeing it bring mind-blowing results to others.

I’d love to help you find wellness.

But who the heck am I? First off, someone who’s been there.
Second, a devoted student of functional nutrition and an avid cook who has so far earned the credentials (see all of them above), and has no intention of stopping:

Don’t spend as much time as I did feeling lousy.

What People Are Saying

Ten years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and the meds to prevent it from coming back after treatment caused significant digestive issues. These past four years I’ve been in an upside-down world of periods so terrible I couldn’t do what I wanted because I never knew when I’d need the bathroom. I’d tried different things, none of which worked. I’d given up. I thought, “I’m alive; I survived cancer, but this is. My life now.”

Bev was great. We talked about lifestyle and diet and how my issues impacted other areas of my life. She started with a lot of testing and had a “let’s do this together” attitude that made me feel supported and hopeful. She really stuck with me.

I’m never going to live like a healthy 40-year-old, but now I can be a healthy 60-year-old. I’m back at Pilates and more attuned to my body—more aware of when I’ll have a problem. I have much more energy. I used to spend every waking moment worrying or just not feeling great. My world had gotten small. Now I can think about things that are actually fulfilling instead of limiting.

I never felt Bev was reprimanding me. She wouldn’t say, “I told you not to eat that” but “How’d that work out for you?” I appreciate that she shares her story and is vulnerable herself. She’s walking with you.

“ Bev was able to help me better understand my body and its triggers so I can manage acid reflux/GERD naturally without medications.”

“I have struggled for years with IBS and Celiac.  The symptoms of both are overlapping and confusing.  Recently, I faced SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth) which complicated things further.  I needed help managing all of this.  Bev helped me understand the interplay with my issues and ways to feel better through food and targeted supplements, despite my multiple diagnoses.  I’m still on the journey but feel much better and more confident with Bev’s help.  My advice for anyone struggling with GI issues is to hire Bev.”
